Today I am embarking on my third Ayn Rand novel, Anthem. After having read The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, I realized how influential her writing can be and I am encouraging everyone to pick up one of her books, one that includes the ideals of Objectivism. I am not going to go into detail about this concept, I leave it up to you to delve into her intriguing novels, but what I thought I should share was what she has to say about this concept.
"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute"
— Ayn Rand, Appendix to Atlas Shrugged
If you held your life as the highest of all values and lived by the code of the free individual, how would your life change? Her books are really something to expand your mind and way of thinking and I am so excited to begin her third book. Hopefully, if you haven't read one yet, you certainly will soon!
