Hair
The main hairstylist on set for Sex and the City 2 was Frank Barbosa, who said he was inspired by old black-and-white films for the looks. The main look for all of the characters was loose, free-flowing waves (especially for Carrie!). To get the look he used 1/4-1/2 inch curling irons, a Sultra flatiron, René Furterer Spray Gloss, and Ojon Extreme Hold Hairspray and told the stars to only wash their hair every few days.
Makeup
Carrie
Makeup artist, Judy Chin, created Carrie's look by using neutral colors and minimal makeup (not matte-like, but with more of a glow, hint: use blush) on the face and then glammed up the eyes. Chin used smoky and sparkly eyeshadows and lots of black mascara.

Samantha
Kyra Panchenko, was the makeup artist for Kim Cattrall and got her inspiration from Blondie, Kate Moss, and Madonna. She gave Samantha a light and dewy look and used individual eyelashes to make her eyes stand out.
Charlotte
Charlotte York look was as always, very minimal with blush, curled lashes, black eyeline and a tint of pink on the lips.
Miranda
Miranda kept her skin pale and fresh looking, but had rosy cheeks, nude/light pink lips and black eyeliner on top and the bottom (sometimes she used light green eyeshadow) with minimal mascara.
